[ DESCRIPTION ]
Saving Aesthetics is an eleven-minute work for a room: one film projected around four walls, another across the floor, and a 5.1 mix placed where the gallery’s speakers hang. It is shown here as G.MAP’s Gallery 1, rebuilt as a room you can enter. Carpets are gathered into grids, taken apart into code, fragments and pixels, and woven together again, while threads rise from the projections and meet in the middle of the room. Follow the camera tour, or walk the room yourself.
